Based in the Durham Region, W.B. White’s Strategic Risk & Enablement team collectively has over 40 years of experience helping Canadian and international clients plan and execute strategy, drive growth, achieve compliance, and mitigate risk effectively.
As a dedicated business growth and compliance partner, we understand the difficulties organizations face in today’s risk climate, and how to navigate them for success. Our team works with clients across business management, funding and growth strategies and systems, and cybersecurity training and communication to ensure compliance standards are met.
Whether your goals include accessing funding, responding to a request for proposal, training staff, or improving your digital risk posture, we help you build a clear, action-driven plan so you can move forward in the marketplace with renewed confidence while remaining compliant.
We work with clients to understand current and future business goals and risks, then align them with the relevant compliance requirements. We identify risks and threats proactively, so they don’t impact stability or growth. Put bluntly: we work hard to turn risk into opportunity for our clients.
We draw on decades of experience in public-private partnerships to build risk plans that support each client’s unique goals, mission, and decision-making processes.
Our services include compliance integration, cybersecurity training, operational funding and grant guidance, and contract readiness. These services help clients qualify for contracts, secure additional funding, and strengthen resilience in an ever-shifting marketplace.
We specialize in municipalities, non-profits, startups, and SMEs.
Bottom line:These issues lead to lost bids, unfunded upgrades and slower timelines, and slower growth or lost opportunity.
We match your goals to carefully selected grant programs, then build budgets, quotes, and submission timelines that fit operations. When RFPs matter, we package the required information so reviewers find what they expect the first time.
We offer training for leadership, frontline teams, and privacy stakeholders so executives understand the steps the organization and IT need to take during crisis, and staff know how to follow them.
We start with a readiness assessment and translate it into a sequenced 90-day roadmap. Where funding applies, we align the plan to achieve it in a budget-friendly and compliance-friendly way.
We begin with a short intake and create an onboarding plan to understand upcoming targets, requirements, and objectives. That’s followed by a 60-minute meeting where we clarify goals, map risks and gaps, and decide what needs to be done now versus later. After the session, our team prepares a 90-day plan and budget that allows for immediate action, clear deliverables, and aligned expectations.
Your starting point is our $125 Readiness & Growth Assessment, which a single funded grant or successful RFP will often cover many times over. When further services make sense, we provide a clear outline, next steps, and costs to keep your business on track while achieving results.
We partner with Business Advisory Centres, Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development departments, and Associations to deliver free webinars on topics such as Cybersecurity Strategy & Implementation, Grant Preparedness, RFP Research, and other priorities in a globalized economy.
If you’re a partner organization interested in co-hosting, we can coordinate topics, dates, and promotion to fit your audience.

The kickoff is a 60-minute session plus a short intake. After that, you’ll have a 90-day plan with clear owners and lightweight tasks. See How We Prepare Clients for Success for what happens before/during/after.
Yes. We can coordinate so nothing gets duplicated. We handle readiness, compliance, training, and packaging what reviewers and compliance officers expect, and can coordinate with your team to ensure everyone is on the same page.
We can own timelines, checklists, required documents, and packaging. You’ll still approve content and provide your organizations specific details.
One or two live items (an RFP you’re eyeing, a grant idea, upcoming compliance requirements, cybersecurity related concerns) plus a client intake form.
We don’t sell tools. If a phishing simulation or specific product is required for whatever reason, we’ll recommend options and coordinate with your MSP/IT team.
If further work makes sense, we outline scope, timelines, and pricing. Our team can then work with you to decide what steps are most realistic to accomplish given timelines, budgets, and availability.
