In 1929 Dad earned $120 per month, the nicest home in Oshawa cost $12,000 and a new car cost $1,200. The stock market crash started the "Dirty Thirties" and W. Bert White opened W. B. White Insurance. Recognized as one of the leading insurance brokers in Durham Region, we are a full service insurance brokerage, whose success has been built on by four generations of family ownership. When Bert retired his son in law Walter Famme took over the reins, which have now been passed to his son Jim Famme and his son Jason. Our office has a staff of 33 people, including a full service financial department which is now protecting 3rd and 4th generations of clients. We also have branch offices in Belleville and Caledonia.
